Saving Dinner 101

Okay! So before I start this post....
I must say, I'm becoming more and more like my mom everyday...I swear!
She used to always just buy random things...and then add to it...and make it delicious!
I never understood why you'd want to change something perfectly fine....until today!
I bought this "classico alfredo" that I've used before in recipes and stuff...but never had it plain.
I thought it was alright so I was just going to make noodles and poor it over....BAD MISTAKE!
So you'll need: just a bunch of random items from your fridge/pantry!
And a starter (sauce from a can)
Add things you like to nasty things....you'll be surprised!
I started with the middle object....
added some sour creme (because that usually helps out creamy things)
added a little hot sauce to give it spice
more sour creme
a little BBQ sauce...and a little more
some "Jamaican Jerk"
and finally the rest of the sour creme and some hot sauce

It wasn't the best ever sauce...but it was definitely bearable
(unlike how it came straight from the jar)
Also, by adding all this crap, your sauce goes farther!

I'd say it was pretty successful!!!

BTW: Gluten Free diets now include HIDDEN VALLEY RANCH! But!!! It HAS TO BE THE ORGANIC KIND!
This is by far the best ranch out there for GF people!
The regular, or bacon flavored or any other flavored are still not GF...Make sure it's Organic!

As always, Enjoy!

HOT WINGS!

Okay! Wow! It's been a while. I recently had to move to Las Vegas, NV for the summer and I work the most ridiculous schedule, so I haven't had much time for cooking; actually, I haven't had any at all. But, now that I am finally used to my schedule, I have had the fortune to return to what I love; cooking.

These wings are SUPER easy. Literally you could have a three year old make these (for the most part).

You'll Need:
Chicken Wings (whatever "cut" you prefer)
Hot sauce (I love Frank's Buffalo Wing Sauce)
2 large Ziploc Bags

Combine your chicken and however much sauce it takes to cover them, with a little extra.
Shake, Shake, Shake
(I have an extreme urge to say "Shake and Bake" here..but I'll refrain)

It should like this this.
Let that marinade in the refrigerator over night!
If you're improvising dinner, let it sit for about an hour and you should be good to go.

When you're ready to cook, give it an extra shake, and open your bags
Be careful! the chicken may have poked holes in the first bag
(this is why you double bag)

Dump the contents of the bag into a large skillet
(preferably with a lid)

Cook until the meat is done.
I wouldn't suggest the cut that I used, it's hard to manipulate and eat, but it was the only thing the store had... I forgot to mention I hate Las Vegas grocery stores.

The sauce that's missing is the amount I used, so not too much to cover them.

The finished product.
Never mind that the one looks beaten to death! I used that one as my tester to see if the meat was cooked.

As Always, Enjoy
(and hopefully I'll be able to cook a little more)
